The First Dental Exam
Make sure to schedule your little one’s first dental visit when the first tooth comes in and no later than the first birthday. From that point on, it’s important to schedule twice-a-year dental exams and cleanings.
Our kid-friendly team will greet you and your child during the first dental exam. We’ll evaluate your little one’s oral health and development to confirm that everything is on track. We’ll also review eating habits and oral hygiene practices to ensure your child’s smile is off to a great start.
We design every part of the exam to provide your toddler with a comfortable and happy experience. We consider your sitting position and presence nearby. We strive to instill positive future dental habits into our young patients!
Preventative Dental Care
Our team promotes preventative care through regular exams and cleanings, ensuring that your child receives protection against tooth decay, cavities, and gum disease. Our staff provides detailed checkups and cleanings and teaches your child about proper dental hygiene. We may also recommend fluoride treatments and dental sealants whenever needed to keep dental decay at bay. Our primary goal is to ensure that your child is at ease in our office. Two appointments a year equal a problem-free smile.
Zirconia Crowns
Our pediatric zirconia crowns are simply the best when it comes to restoring your child's dental health. They are durable, strong, attractive, and long-lasting. You'll appreciate the color of the crown matching your little one's natural teeth. You'll also value that zirconia will not crack, chip, or disintegrate over time.
Dental cleanings coupled with extra care by you at home will help prevent gum disease and even treat and reverse gingivitis. Brushing and flossing are mandatory!
Dental Extractions
Our dental professionals are experts at providing gentle and caring pediatric tooth extractions. Your child's tooth may need an extraction to address teeth with injury or deep decay. Our staff usually only removes baby teeth if they have suffered severe damage that we can't repair using restorations, such as dental crowns or fillings. Cracked, impacted, or loose teeth may require removal. We take pride in the gentleness shown throughout the process and promise to deliver results with as little discomfort as possible.
Dental Fillings
Our team at Panther Creek Dental is committed to caring for your child's teeth and restoring them to their best condition. After a complete exam, our pediatric dentist will relay all options to you and answer any questions. The procedure involves removing any damaged tooth structure then applying a tooth-colored composite resin material to fill the space. Our fillings are closely matched to our child's smile, delivering natural results.
Dental Emergency Treatment
Our team is talented and caring. We realize emergencies happen when you least expect them. You may recognize the following examples:
- An accident involving the mouth or jaw
- A knocked-out permanent tooth
- Excessive bleeding due to an accident or severe gum disease
